Our home overlooks one of the most sheltered anchorages in the Hauraki Gulf, North Island, New Zealand and is only accessible by water. Nestled in the bush above the harbour, Kawau Lodge has extensive water and bush views from the whole house. Our lodge is eco friendly and in harmony with nature and the surrounding wildlife. Your stay with us can be as relaxing or as busy as you want it to be. Just kick back and relax or chose from the many activities available.

About the Property:
Our guest accommodation comprises 2 modern, queen bedrooms each with its own large ensuite with heated floor and towel rail. The units are equipped with quality furnishings throughout, have tea and coffee making facilities, lovely soft bathrobes plus books and magazines for your enjoyment. Each room comes equipped with its own dvd player so bring your own cd's or dvd's. There is also a guest fridge available for your use. Upstairs we have a large, private super-king / twin bed suite with its own ensuite and deck area. Guests can feel free to use the comfortable, informal lounge and dining areas plus enjoy the many outdoor areas around the garden and decks.

A 60 minute drive north of Auckland, and a short trip across in our comfortable power catamaran from the seaside village of Sandspit, you will arrive at our private wharf in sheltered North Cove, Kawau Island.
