Following on from the incredile exposure NZ received with the movie Lord of The Rings, we recently converted one of our rooms into a LOTR themed room called "Barlimans" complete with special "Hobbits Menu".

Named after the spectacular Minaret Mountains (visible from the grounds), the lodge is just a short stroll to the lake, and a 10 minute walk from the Wanaka town centre.
Wanaka is located a 1 hour drive from Queenstown, 2 - 4 hours from the West Coast/Glaciers, 3 - 4 hours from Dunedin or 6 hours from Christchurch.
The nearest major airport is Queenstown where there are direct flights to Christchurch, Auckland and Sydney. Wanaka Connexions operates a shuttle transfer service between Queenstown Airport and Minaret Lodge.
