The decor could best be described as classical - not so formal as to compromise
comfort and relaxation. Guests have access to The Pillars Retreat internet and

All accommodation includes breakfast All our bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms,
are located upstairs, and all have under-floor heating.
The Pillars offers a spacious lounge with double doors opening onto the lawn and
overlooking the tennis court.
Guests can wander around the pond and gardens, sit in the gazebo for a quiet
read with magnificent views back to the house, have a game of tennis or petanque
or just lounge by the pool.

Location:
The Pillars Retreat is set amid 3 acres of parklike grounds with views of the lake
and mountains and is only 10 minutes from Taupo township. Lake Taupo covers
616sqkms and is widely considered the trout fishing capital of the world. The
surrounding forests are ideal for hunting, mountain biking, horse trekking and
bushwalking and its rivers are not only ideal for fishing but for white water rafting
as well.
The Pillars is easily reached by road and we are close to Taupo Airport.
Directions:
Take highway 5 towards Napier for approx 6 km.Turn into Caroline Drive on right,
then 1st left into Deborah Rise.
We are also Helicopter friendly.
