Flagstaff Lodge & Day Spa is a 1912 villa set within the peaceful village of Russell and The Bay of Islands. About the Property:
Each one of the four ensuite rooms offers a feeling of space, along with tile and glass modern bathrooms. After a deep, relaxing sleep in superior beds you can enjoy a gourmet breakfast prepared to your taste.
The Day Spa relaxation treatments offer time out for pampering with massages, facials, manicures & pedicures and other beauty treatments.
Your evening begins with complementary evening drinks with your kiwi hosts and the opportunity to sit back and taste NZ wines and a small sample of local cuisine. Quality local restaurants are only a five minute stroll along the waterfront and we recommend the best for you.

Russell is the Bay of Islands’ most picturesque town. It is a quiet seaside village with unique heritage, being New Zealand’s first capital and the site where in 1845 Maori chief Hongi Heke cut down the British flagstaff as a sign of protest towards the European setters.

An original family homestead, built at the beginning of the twentieth century, the Lodge has been carefully renovated and restored so that, today, it is one of The Bay of Islands' most exclusive boutique lodges.
