Built in 1886, and registered with the New Zealand Historic Places Trust, Sennen House is one of Pictons original colonial homesteads. This grand two-storey villa has been extensively restored in keeping with its gracious style and era, to offer guests a unique accommodation experience set in 5 acres of mature gardens, native bush, and orchard, yet only a short stroll to Picton's restaurants, ferries, galleries and foreshore.
About The Property:
Three elegant one bed roomed apartments and one spacious 2 bed roomed suite, combine Victorian charm with every luxurious convenience, to offer privacy, peace and individual character, three having their own private lounge (two with open fire), kitchen and dining area and all having private entrance and ensuite or private bathroom.
Relax with a glass of local Marlborough wine on sunny, north-facing verandahs, or take a leisurely al-fresco breakfast, (generous hamper provided daily) with views across the grounds to Picton and the sea or hills beyond. Indulge in the luxuries of pure cotton linen, heated towel rails and robes, listen to native bird song or simply absorb the timeless tranquil grandeur of Sennen House.

Your hosts, Richard & Imogen are landscape architects and have travelled extensively both internationally and throughout New Zealand. They and their young family, invite you to share their local knowledge and passion for this truly unique, memorable and very special place.
