Description :
There are many hotels in Sydney but only one Simpsons of Potts Point, the small intimate hotel created from the restoration of an 1892 stately Potts Point mansion. To stay as a guest in one of the fourteen rooms is to experience the charm and elegance of an era long past.

About the property:
Built as the family residence of John Lane Mullins, a member of the New South Wales Colonial Parliament, Simpsons was designed in 1892 by leading Sydney architect, John Bede Barlow. The history of this house has been recaptured in the imaginative restoration which provides spacious rooms, grand halls and stained glass windows. A unique range of arts and crafts decorations of the period is a delightful enhancement. Exquisite prints from the hand of the renowned Australian artist Ellis Rowan, and friezes of Australian flora have been drawn from the collections of Sydney's premier museum, the Powerhouse.
