Wanaka is located on the southern shores of Lake Wanaka, in west Otago. Embraced by the Southern Alps, Wanaka is Otago's second resort town after Queenstown.

From Queenstown :Follow SH89 towards Wanaka. Heritage Park is on the right hand side, about 2 kilometres before you reach Wanaka, just after the junction with Orchard Road and Studholme Road.
