Te Horo Lodge is located on 10 acres of land that consists of native bush, Kohe Kohe trees, a 370 tree olive grove and an 80 tree mixed orchard with the balance of the grounds in lawns and gardens.

As you enter the coast, just 40 minutes drive from central Wellington, and see the magnificent Kapiti Island and the beaches stretching along the coast, any thoughts of the city are left behind as the more relaxed, refreshing atmosphere of our coastal region takes over.

The Lodge is within a short drive to all the attractions on the Kapiti Coast including Kapiti Island nature reserve, 6 golf courses including Paraparaumu Beach Links course where Tiger Woods played in the 2002 NZ Golf open, 4x4 quad bike rides, Otaki River and Forks with various bush walks.

At Te Horo Lodge you will enjoy one of 4 bedrooms, each with their own ensuite. The three bedrooms downstairs, Blueberry, Tamarillo, and Passionfruit rooms all open out onto a verandah and onto expansive lawns, brightened with flower gardens and specimen trees.

The upstairs master suite (Asparagus room) has a lounge area, and through the large cathedral-style windows looks out onto the tree tops and the serenity of the bush. Rise in the morning to delightful symphony of native fantail birds as they greet the dawning of another new day.

Guests have full use of the lounge, dining room and conservatory. There is complementary tea and coffee, small library, magazines, music, TV and video available.

When retiring to your room you will encounter our turn-down service with chocolates and port to finish off your evening at Te Horo Lodge.
