Description :
Woolmers Estate offer seven self contained heritage cottages set in the grounds of Woolmers, offering bed and breakfast accommodation.
About the property:
Woolmers Estate has outstanding cultural significance because it represents a continuous association with the Thomas Archer family. It provides an encapsulated record of six generations, and the changes to their lifestyle, from the time the land was first settled circa 1817 to the death of the last heir in 1994.
The cottages were built in the 1840s and sleep from two to six people. They have been converted into private and comfortable, self-catering colonial accommodation.
The cottages were all at one time home to the trades people on the Estate and have been restored to reflect this fact. Their uniqueness, set amongst wonderful buildings and grounds on this remarkable Estate, creates a stand-alone experience for any visitor choosing to stay.
