About The Property:
The hotel has 11 bedrooms sumptuously outfitted in fabulous fabrics, antiques and deeply restful Tasmanian original king size beds that you will never wish to leave. The rooms are large with king or twin bed options, crystal marble bathrooms that glow like jewel boxes and are furnished with imported baths, separate shower stalls and toilets, and brought together by a granite heated floor. Downstairs the entrance opens into an expansive hallway from which extends a library, a salon and a morning room where the sun shines by day and the log fires crackle by night.

The centre piece of the hotel must be the conservatory that adjoins the country kitchen and opens out to the terrace, beyond which is the reflecting infinity pond, pavilion and towering on the background the grandeur of Mt Wellington. Late in the afternoon enjoy a glass of Tasmanian wine whilst savouring the setting of the sun. And from here wander through the extensive gardens, populated by a landmark willow tree over 100 years old.

Follow the Tasman Highway across the Bridge, proceed on the Highway through the Botanical Gardens and the Queens Domain, staying in the left lane until you reach Sullivans Cove and the Highway becomes Davey Street. Proceed up Davey Street, staying in right hand lane, past the Mercedes dealer on your right. Islington is further up the hill on the right hand side as you get to the crest.
